Star Trails Around Polaris
by
Paul Mandel, 12 years old

This lovely photo was taken by my son Paul from the Chew's Ridge area of Big Sur, in the coastal mountains of California.  He composed the photo with a tripod mounted camera.  He used a Canon Elan II with a 35-200mm lens (set at 35 mm, f/5.6) Kodak Gold 200, and a ???-hour exposure.  The camera was aimed towards the Santa Clara Valley.  The plane was landing at the San Jose International airport.
