About Me

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I spent 4 years living in Walla Walla, WA while attending Whitman College. I graduated from Whitman in 2008 and started the graduate program in astronomy at the University of Wyoming. I lived in Laramie, WY for 5 years while completing my PhD with Mike Brotherton and then moved to State College, PA where I spent 3 years as a postdoc working with Mike Eracleous and Steinn Sigurdsson. I am now a postdoc at the University of Michigan with Kayhan Gultekin and I live in Ann Arbor.

When I'm not working...

I enjoy cycling, horseback riding, snowboarding, rock climbing, swimming, running, camping, and probably a few activities I've forgotten to list.

At the moment, I spend most of my free time biking. If you're in Laramie, I recommend the Laramie Mountain Bike Series, a series of 6 short 10-12 mile races, and the Laramie Enduro, a 70 mile endurance mountain bike race at elevations about 7500'. I did a lot rides with the folks from the Pedal House, a great local bike shop in Laramie.
