About Me

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I spent 4 years living in Walla Walla, WA while attending Whitman College. I graduated from Whitman in 2008 and started the graduate program in astronomy at the University of Wyoming. I lived in Laramie, WY for 5 years while completing my PhD with Mike Brotherton and then moved to State College, PA where I spent 3 years as a postdoc working with Mike Eracleous and Steinn Sigurdsson. Then, I was a postdoc at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with Kayhan Gultekin. In 2019 I moved to Nashville, Tennessee.

When I'm not working...

...I ride bikes. I enjoy mountain, road, gravel, and fat biking and ascribe to the belief that the correct number of bikes to own is N+1, where N is the number of bikes you currently own.

When I am not pedaling, I also love snowboarding, splitboarding, rock climbing, horseback riding, and probably a few activities I've forgotten to list.
