Curriculum Development

Background
Teachers of astronomy often find it difficult to incorporate hands-on and inquiry-based activities into the astronomy curriculum. Even for those teachers committed to an inquiry-based approach to teaching science, identifying and implementing appropriate astronomy activities can be a challenge.
We are working together with our teacher partners to develop inquiry- and standards-based curriculum materials for use in the classroom. Brief descriptions of activities are given below, with links to our online teacher guides and to other astronomy teaching resources.
