Telescope Building

Teachers and students participating in the Scopes for Schools program build telescopes that serve as the centerpieces for inquiry-based, hands-on activities. The telescopes become the property of the school, allowing students to use them on an ongoing, long-term basis for self-directed exploration of the heavens, for organized extracurricular activities, and for outreach to the community.
