Info for Recommendation Letters
Eligibility
The Vanderbilt University
Physics & Astronomy REU Program is a 10-week internship
for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors. (Graduating seniors: Please
contact us at the email address below to inquire about eligibility.) Students
must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents to receive stipend support.
Vanderbilt undergraduates may participate, either with support from their faculty adviser or through the Vanderbilt University Summer Research Program (VUSRP), which has its application deadline in mid-February.
Applicants wishing to be considered for projects and sponsorship by the Vanderbilt Data Science Institute and/or the Frist Center for Autism & Innovation should indicate this clearly in the application.
Instructions
To begin an application, click the "Apply Online Here" link
above. You will need to create a username/password, which will allow you
to start your application, save it, and complete it at a later time. Be sure to select "Physics-REU" from the program pull-down menu making sure to select the correct current summer term, and then select the specific field(s) of research you are interested in. You
will fill out some basic contact, deomgraphic, and academic information
and you will upload a personal statement. You will also need to have transcripts (unofficial transcripts are ok) and two letters of recommendation sent.
